Orange Hommus


Give hommus a makeover with this citrus twist.

The ingredient of Orange Hommus

  • 2 x 420g cans chickpeas drained
  • 1 2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 large oranges rind finely grated juiced
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 3 bunches asparagus trimmed
  • savoury biscuits to serve

The Instruction of orange hommus

  • place chickpeas oil rind 1 2 cup of juice garlic cumin cayenne pepper and tahini into a food processor process until smooth taste and season with salt and pepper place into an airtight container refrigerate until required
  • half fill a frying pan with water bring to the boil over high heat add asparagus cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until bright green and just tender drain refresh under cold water refrigerate in an airtight container
  • at picnic serve hommus with asparagus and savoury biscuits
