Chocolate Salami Recipe


Salami but not as you know it - this clever chocolate treat is the perfect Christmas gift.

The ingredient of Chocolate Salami Recipe

  • 200g packet amaretti almond flakes biscuits
  • 125g butter softened
  • 1 2 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3 cup milk see notes
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 200g dark chocolate melted cooled
  • 1 3 cup almond kernels toasted chopped
  • 1 3 cup skinless hazelnuts toasted chopped
  • 1 3 cup pistachio kernels toasted chopped
  • 1 1 2 tbsp icing sugar mixture

The Instruction of chocolate salami recipe

  • place biscuits in a food processor process until finely chopped being careful not to process too fine
  • using an electric mixer beat butter caster sugar and vanilla until pale and creamy add milk beat until combined add cocoa beat until combined add in chocolate and biscuit crumbs stir until coated and well combined stir in nuts refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture is slightly firmer
  • divide mixture between 2 large pieces of plastic wrap using plastic as a guide firmly roll each portion to form a 4cm x 25cm smooth log twist ends of plastic to seal refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight until firm
  • remove and discard plastic wrap dust salami with icing sugar rubbing all over to coat wrap in baking paper see notes
