The ingredient of Pikelets With Easy Apple Compote

  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 3 4 cup milk
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 20g butter to grease
  • 3 small red apples
  • 40g butter
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 4 tsp coles brand cinnamon
  • 1 2 cup smooth ricotta

The Instruction of pikelets with easy apple compote

  • place flour and sugar in a mixing bowl stir in combined milk and egg until smooth heat a large frying pan over medium heat lightly grease with butter working in batches of 3 or 4 drop 2 tablespoons portions of batter into the pan and cook for about 1 min each side until golden you should get about 10 pikelets cool on a wire rack
  • to make the apple compote cut apples into quarters and remove cores cut each quarter into 3 slices melt butter in a frying pan and add sugar and cinnamon stir to dissolve add apples slices and 1 4 cup water cook over medium heat stirring occasionally for 5 mins or until apples are tender
  • use a flower shaped cookie cutter to make the pikelets into cute shapes spread ricotta onto the pikelets and serve with the apple compote
