Turkey Sausage Rolls


For a twist on a family favourite, try these delicious Turkey sausage rolls.

The ingredient of Turkey Sausage Rolls

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 200g cup mushrooms diced
  • 1 cup wholemeal fresh breadcrumbs
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 500g turkey mince
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 sheets frozen ready rolled reduced fat puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • tomato sauce to serve
  • salad leaves to serve

The Instruction of turkey sausage rolls

  • preheat oven to 220c 200c fan forced line a large baking tray with baking paper
  • heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat cook mushroom stirring for 3 to 4 minutes or until tender cool slightly drain
  • combine mushroom breadcrumbs onion mince thyme and tomato paste in a bowl season with salt and pepper
  • cut pastry sheets in half shape one quarter mince mixture into a 24cm x 3cm sausage place along edge of 1 pastry sheet half brush opposite edge with egg roll up pastry to enclose filling cut in half place seam side down on prepared tray repeat with remaining mince mixture and pastry
  • brush sausage roll tops with egg sprinkle with sesame seeds bake for 20 minutes or until golden and puffed serve with tomato sauce and salad leaves
