Intensify the aroma and flavour of food using citrus-infused olive oil.

The ingredient of Tangy Citrus Oil

  • 1 small lemon
  • 1 small orange
  • 1 3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sprig fresh bay leaves or 1 dried bay leaf
  • 1 2 tsp whole black peppercorns
  • crusty bread to serve

The Instruction of tangy citrus oil

  • using a vegetable peeler remove 1 long strip of rind from lemon and 1 from orange
  • place rind oil bay leaves and peppercorns in a small saucepan over medium heat cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until heated through and fragrant
  • carefully transfer to a heatproof serving bowl serve immediately with bread
