French Raisin Toast

  • 4 raisin bread thickly sliced
  • 2 bananas thinly sliced
  • 80ml 1 3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • butter

  • combine 80ml 1 3 cup milk 2 eggs and 1 2 teaspoon vanilla essence in a bowl cut 4 thick slices raisin bread into quarters
  • melt 1 2 teaspoon butter in a non stick frying pan over medium heat until foaming dip 4 bread pieces 1 at a time in the egg mixture cook for 45 seconds each side or until golden divide among four serving bowls repeat with more butter and the remaining bread pieces and egg mixture
  • divide 2 bananas thinly sliced among the bowls drizzle 1 teaspoon maple syrup over each bowl and serve immediately
