These tasty little parcels are our latest dessert obsession. All you need are two sheets of puff pastry, a few sweet ingredients of your choice (this version features apples and raisins) and an ice-cube tray. Watch our video on how to pull it all together - its very easy.

  • 2 sheets puff pastry just thawed
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 100g canned apple slices pie fruit
  • 100g vanilla custard
  • 45g 1 4 cup sultanas

  • preheat oven to 220c lightly grease a baking tray and line with baking paper
  • fold 1 sheet of puff pastry in half use a rolling pin to roll out slightly until it will easily cover a 14 hole ice cube tray cut remaining sheet of pastry in half lengthways reserve 1 half for another use
  • lay rolled pastry over the ice cube tray and gently press pastry into each hole ensuring pastry does not tear
  • fill each pastry hole with 1 teaspoon of pie apples a few sultanas and 1 2 teaspoons custard brush edges of pastry with egg place pastry piece on top pressing gently to secure trim any excess pastry freeze for 1 hour or until pastry is frozen
  • release pastry parcel from the ice cube tray and place flat side down on the prepared tray brush with remaining egg bake for 22 25 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden serve immediately
