Microwave Strawberry Conserve


A warm scone with homemade strawberry conserve and cream makes a classic afternoon tea treat.

The ingredient of Microwave Strawberry Conserve

  • 335g 1 1 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 x 250g punnets strawberries washed hulled quartered
  • 250ml 1 cup water
  • 1 lemon halved juiced halves reserved

The Instruction of microwave strawberry conserve

  • warm the sugar in a large microwave safe bowl on high 800watts 100 for 4 5 minutes
  • place the strawberry water lemon juice and 1 reserved lemon half in a large microwave safe bowl cook on high 800watts 100 for 5 minutes or until the strawberry is soft you should still have chunks of fruit in the mixture
  • add the warm sugar to the fruit mixture and stir until well combined cook on high 800watts 100 for 20 25 minutes or until the jam reaches setting point set aside for 3 minutes or until bubbles subside
  • ladle hot jam through a funnel into clean dry jars and seal invert for 2 minutes then turn jars upright set aside to cool label date and store in a cool dark place away from direct sunlight until ready to use
