• 300g packet mcvitieu2019s dark chocolate digestive biscuits
• 100g butter melted plus extra 200g butter chopped
• 3 x 180g blocks milk chocolate chopped
• 180g block dark chocolate chopped
• 125ml 1 2 cup golden syrup
• 125ml 1 2 cup thickened cream
• 300g packet mcvities milk chocolate digestives roughly chopped
• 3 cups puffed rice cereal

• grease an 18m x 28cm base measurement slice pan line base and sides with baking paper extending paper 2cm above the edges of the pan
• break up dark chocolate biscuits into a food processor and process until mixture resembles fine crumbs add the butter and process until just combined press mixture over base of prepared pan place in the fridge to firm while preparing the topping
• place milk and dark chocolate extra butter and golden syrup in a saucepan over medium heat cook stirring occasionally for 6 8 minutes or until mixture is smooth and combined donu2019t worry if the mixture separates a little at this stage remove from heat stir in cream until mixture is smooth
• combine milk chocolate biscuits and cereal in a heatproof bowl add melted chocolate mixture and stir well to combine spoon mixture onto the prepared base place in the fridge for at least 4 hours or until set
• stand slice at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting into bars to serve
