The ingredient of Warm Caramelised French Onion Slow Cooker Dip
- 40g butter chopped
- 3 large brown onions halved thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 shortcut bacon rashers finely chopped
- 1 tbsp malt vinegar
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 300g tub sour cream
- 250g spreadable cream cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 4 cup light whole egg mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
- assorted vegetables to serve
- crackers to serve

- melt butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat add onion cook stirring occasionally for 15 minutes or until onion is golden brown add the water cook stirring until water is evaporated add bacon cook stirring for 2 minutes or until bacon is crisp add vinegar and sugar stir for 1 minute or until sugar has dissolved
- set aside 1 4 of the onion mixture transfer remaining onion mixture to a slowcooker add sour cream cream cheese garlic powder and sauce stir to combine cover cook on high for 45 minutes stirring every 10 minutes or until mixture is smooth and slightly thickened once thickened stir through the mayonnaise
- transfer to a serving bowl top with reserved onion mixture and chives serve with vegetables and crackers
