The ingredient of Braised Onion And Garlic Dip With Rosemary Oil
- 125ml 1 2 cup olive oil
- 6 brown onions halved thinly sliced
- 2 garlic bulbs cloves separated peeled coarsely chopped
- salt freshly ground black pepper
- 2 baguettes french breadsticks cut crossways into 5mm thick slices
- 80ml 1 3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 4 cup firmly packed fresh rosemary leaves

- heat half the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat add the onion and garlic and cook stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until onion softens slightly reduce heat to low and cook covered stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until onion is soft remove from heat taste and season with salt and pepper
- place the onion mixture in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth transfer to a serving bowl
- preheat oven to 180u00b0c place sliced baguette on 2 baking trays brush each side with the remaining oil bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown remove from oven and set aside for 5 minutes to cool completely
- meanwhile heat the extra virgin olive oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat add the rosemary and cook for 1 2 minutes or until crisp remove from heat pour rosemary oil over dip and serve immediately with croutons
