Burger Bites


Mini burgers on a stick? Try this delicious new finger food idea at your next party.

The ingredient of Burger Bites

  • 400g beef mince
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 2 small red onion grated
  • 1 2 cup traditional rolled oats
  • 1 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 4 cup smoky barbecue sauce
  • 3 cheese slices each cut into 9 squares
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 200g packet streaky bacon
  • 6 baby cos lettuce leaves
  • 24 small cherry tomatoes
  • 2 pickled cucumbers cut into 24 slices
  • 1 2 cup kewpie mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce

The Instruction of burger bites

  • preheat oven to 200c 180c fan forced line a large baking tray with baking paper
  • place mince egg 1 2 the chives garlic onion oats mustard and 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce in a bowl season with salt and pepper mix to combine shape level tablespoons of mixture into 24 patties place on prepared tray bake for 10 minutes
  • spread patties with a little of the remaining barbecue sauce top each with 1 piece of cheese youu2019ll have 3 squares leftover bake for a further 2 minutes or until cheese just begins to melt
  • meanwhile heat oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat cook bacon turning for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain cut each bacon rasher crossways into 6 pieces
  • cut each lettuce leaf lengthways into 4 long strips thread 1 tomato onto 1 skewer followed by 1 pickle slice starting at 1 short end of 1 piece of lettuce fold over 2cm keep folding until you get to the end thread onto skewer followed by 2 pieces of bacon and 1 patty repeat with remaining tomatoes pickle slices lettuce bacon patties and skewers
  • combine mayonnaise tomato sauce and remaining chives in a small bowl season with salt and pepper serve burger bites with sauce
