This spiced wine is the perfect drink to liven up the party.
The ingredient of Chilled Spiced Wine
- 2 x 750ml bottles red wine such as cabernet sauvignon
- 2 3 cup caster sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks split in half lengthways
- 3 whole star anise see note
- 1 vanilla bean cut in half lengthways
The Instruction of chilled spiced wine
- place wine sugar cinnamon and star anise in large saucepan using a sharp knife scrape seeds from vanilla bean add seeds and bean to pan heat over low heat stirring for 15 minutes or until sugar dissolves do not boil or you will lose the alcohol content
- remove pan from heat cover set aside for 1 to 2 hours to allow flavours to infuse strain into a jug discarding spices and bean cover refrigerate overnight or until chilled
- pour wine into glasses serve with pita crisps with dip related recipe
